[SPIRIT OF THE WEEK] Elemental spirits

As you maybe noticed during our Shining Universe Game, elementals and elements can be very useful. Today we will talk a little about all of them - and in separated posts, you will find more about specific kinds of spirits and how to communicate with them.

What are elementals?

There are spirits made mostly from one specific element. Yes, they can have more than one, but there is one that is very dominant for them. Most sources claims there are 4 types of them:

Salamanders - elementals of fire

Sylphs - elementals of air

Undines - elementals of water

And Gnomes - elementals of earth

However, nowadays we might create a little better types, especially knowing more about them. The types below are subjective.

Salamanders are djin - elements of fire.

Sylphs - elementals of air

Undines - this group contains mermaids, sirens and water spirits of any kind as long as they can survive underwater.

Faeries - elementals of the earth - gnomes are a kind of faerie, but the fae has multiple kinds. We will talk about them in another post.

Demons - are lesser beings connected with the element of darkness

And their opposite - angels made of light.

Why would you add another type?

Because they are important. We often forget that we don't have only 4 elements - but more than that. Light and Darkness are a part of our lives too, and yes they are elements. So they have elementals. There might be even more, especially when you consider that elements can be merged and create another one. But I will focus on the most basic ones here. Please remember with demons I don't mean the fallen angels. I mean lesser in power beings, born from darkness. They don't hold that much power and they aren't rulers either. Same with angels - I don't mean the high ranked ones. They are their own type, usually holding the status of Gods too.

There are several ranks of spirits and the most powerful ones hold ranks of Gods.

Even the elementals are having some sort of rank - usually, they are controlled by kings, princes and princesses. Queens are rare.

Why would I summon elemental spirits?

Well except for the obvious reason, which is - helping you to connect and gain power over one of the elements, they can also guide you and help with several things. They can be friendly, they don't hold as much power as Gods, but can also help with many issues and teach you.

Which elemental would be best for me?

It depends. Which element do you feel the most connection with? Try with this one. If you know your dominant element - try with it. If you want to achieve a specific thing - search about which elemental would be best for you. From my own experience, I worked only with djin and faeries. Both like to be playful and work, but djin is more aggressive in nature and demands more respect. Follow your intuition here.

How to start?

I will describe the spirits as I promised in full detail in another post, you should already be able to find the post about djjn on the website. But the first thing you should do, when you want to start is to find as much information about the specific spirits and elements as you can. Try to learn their behaviour and needs. Try to always be respectful when doing the meditation or ritual. I would always suggest trying with the elemental King of the element and asking him for help - either he will help you on his own, or send a spirit to assist and help you.

You might try to use the sigils

Fire King - Djin

Water King - Niksa

Air King - Paralda

Earth King - Ghob

If I would work with angels I would summon one of the Archangels and ask their help. They also have specific elements connected with them.

You might search forIncantations, enns, or prayers to summon them. You might also have specific elements around you, either by burning a candle or having a chalice with water around, burning incense or crystal on your hand. After this - meditate with the element. And feel the spirit around you.
