Rank: Queen of the Underworld

Element: Darkness

Colours: Red, Black

Hymn

Allatu, O thou pale goddess I summon thee

For I know your do not leave the dark underworld

But I ask you to hear my words!

Ereshkigal, Darksome Mother of the Dead

I offer you clean, cold water in your name!

Touch this water with your claws, sending the darkness

And decay into this water.

Take from it the clean refreshment for yourself

Leave the water in which the corpse rots in!

I shall use this water to bring you another soul!

So it is done!

Often used form Usually i meet female form with black crown and black eyes. She can also have form of dragon or form of succubus, same as scary demonic form.

Physical appearance: Her humanoid form have long black dress in gothic style, black eyes and pale skin. Her lips are also black or bloody red. She doesn't smile and is very serious.

Personal notes: Ereshkigal is a Sumerian goddess of the Irkalla, the underworld. She isn't appearing as the very friendly deity, in fact, her energy is very dark and aggressive even if you call her with all customs. She isn't being to be simply calling and talk with lightly. She demands respect. We can also notice in some stories, that she isn't an easily forgiving deity - after Inanna sends the bull of heavens towards Gilgamesh, and the bull got's slain, we learn that he was Ereshkigal's husband. She never forgiveness her sister and when she descends into the Underworld she's fully aware of that. Ereshkigal takes matters into her own hands and Inanna dies there, to be resurrected thanks to Enki's influence. A similar thing happens with Nergal - after he's forced to join the underworld, he manages to escape on his own after 6 days which makes Ereshkigal mad. She tries everything to get him back. At the end of the story, they marry.* Offerings can include ashes water or poisoned water, as she drinks water which carries the demons to travel upon. She can teach you many things and help you evolve, but she will also require many things including offerings.

*Please be aware it's a very short summary of myths, you can learn more on your own by reading them.

*Class is based on my own knowledge, the hymn was taken from book Maskim Hul by M.W.Ford , the other hymn from neosalexandria.org *
