[SPIRIT OF THE WEEK] Faeries and spirits of the earth

There is many which could be said about faeries, especially many people who believe they are demons...are they? Let's find it out.

What is a fairy?

They are elemental spirits of the earth element and take care of all nature - that includes animals too. They aren't connected with plant Earth - they are everywhere. In many planets. However, they have their own realm too. Usually, they look like little humanoids with tiny wings - at least this is how we imagine them to be....oh how wrong you are. There are Soo many types of them. And every type have another look too!

How faeries look like and what kind of faeries exists?

They are humanoid in a form most often..most of the time at least. There are many kinds of them and I will try to go with the basic classification of the ones I met.

There are winged fairies and not winged elves. They both seem to be the same general species, having similar tasks. Where faeries take care of the world, heal, replenish elves are mostly focused on forest and protecting everything and everyone. Where faeries are healers, the elves are soldiers. Of course many can have different roles, this is just a generalisation to show you the meaning behind it.

Anyways we have another type even with those two.

This one connects with specific elements too - they are all earth elements, but they also have other ones.

So we have

Dark faeries have more of the element of darkness. They are also more malicious and short-tempered and usually human unfriendly. They demand much respect from anyone...

Light faeries are more soft and sweet in nature. They are also very patient and friendly, usually helping and teaching

Water faerie - there are several types of them including selkies and rusałka. Many mythologies also have some beings like that.

Forest Nymphs - they are usually connected with the forests and forest animals. They can protect the animals and forest flowers, plants and so on.

Dryads - they are also named spirits of the threes. They are connected wiry specific three and have a form of the tree too. They are excellent healers.

Plant Faeries and animal faeries - they are usually the most popular ones too..every plant have faeries related to them. So you can have lily faerie, rose faeries, cinnamon faeries, Tiger faeries and so on. There are so many species here.

Crystal faeries - they usually live inside the crystals and are a part of it, the same way as dryads and their trees.

Fire faeries and air faeries - they seem to be some sort of rare beings. I met only one of that kinds and they are usually very protective.

There are also specific ones, connected to the courts. Now let's explain them...

What is a structure in the fae world?

Usually, it's pretty simple - there are specific kingdoms ruled by the queen and king. They have princesses and princesses. There are few kingdoms - usually, there are several inside one huge court. Courts are bigger, something similar to cardinals pointing spirits over the demon kings.

So we have Sumer, Winter, Spring and Autumn courts. They are the most popular ones.

All courts are separated into two other courts - Seelie (friendly) and Unseelie (not friendly).

Summer and spring courts are usually the most friendly ones (Seelie Court) while the other two created Unseelie Court. Both of them are also connected with dark and light elements.

Faeries live in the villages and cities. The Earthly higher dimensional realm appears to have 4 major cities related to faeries. In every city, there is one sacred artefact to help them. You can find more in books about the cities, I never visited them.

Above all of the courts are first Faeries - alpha's who rule the whole realm. The word is last, and they rule all of the faeries.

The Nature of Faeries

It depends on which faeries we are talking about. That ey be don't like to be disrespected, thought where Unseelie faerie will attack you end get revenge for offence, the Seelie one will get annoyed and most of likely explain what you did. When you will do that second time, they also will start being malicious. They can be very friendly and good companions, also they have a very soft and caring nature.

They are very offended when you waste food or hurt plants. They might take them out of you. Literally. They are often like to take gemstones too, especially when they aren't recharged or are neglected. They can also help with spells of any nature.

What does Faeries like?

Well if you think about offering something to faerie I wouldn't suggest animal sacrifice. Plant something, especially thyme and rosemary as they are sacred to faeries. You can offer them crystal or jewellery, but the best things they seem to like are cheese, milk and chocolate.

How to work with faeries?

First of all - learn more about them. You might find them when meditating or summon one of them. If they come to you usually they might appear in the form of little orbs. Focus on them and their realm. You can also use the faerie star as the sigil and try to use its energy.

The best way would be doing it in nature - as they are nature spirits. If you can't, surround yourself with the gemstones and plants. As I mentioned thyme and rosemary, are good for incense. That would be best to start and let them teach you the rest
