Now let's talk about spirits connected to the Air as an element.
First, let's focus on angelic hierarchy related to the of Air
Raphael means "Healer of God", and he is the archangel charged with healing mankind and the earth. He is the Archangel of the element of Air, and patron of travelers, often being depicted with a pilgrim's staff, and he protects those on journeys, especially air travel. As well as protecting travelers, Raphael's special charges are the young and innocent, as can be seen from the story of him protecting the boy Tobiah from a demon. Raphael is the archangel of knowledge and communication, and may be called to help with any related areas, such as improving your memory, learning languages, exams, dealing with bureaucracy and business matters. He was said to have healed the earth after the Flood, and also visited Noah after the Flood to give him a book of medicine, which had belonged to the archangel Raziel. Raphael is usually portrayed with beautiful slender a androgynous face. He may bear a caduceus in his right hand, or occasionally a white alabaster jar of healing herbs or ointment.
And now let's move to the elemental beings named Sylphs.
The air is full of an innumerable multitude of Peoples, whose faces are human, seemingly rather haughty, yet in reality tractable, great lovers of the sciences, cunning, obliging to the Sages, and enemies of fools and the ignorant. In appearance, Sylphs are said to appear taller and with sharper features than men or women when they are in human form. They are first mentioned by Paracelsus in his writings, and he also refers to them as Nenufareni. The word sylph is probably derived from the word sylvan or sylvnin, referring to an airy forest spirit.
**The Air Gods**
The Greek Anemoi (wind gods) of the four cardinal directions and four cross-quarters were depicted as winged men who could also assume the form of horses or gusts of wind. Eurus, Notus, Zephyrus, and Boreas were the gods of the east, south, west, and north winds respectively. They are also connected to autumn, summer, spring, and winter.
The four winds of the cross-quarters also had gods, called the Anemoi Thuellai (tempest winds). These were Kaikias (north- coast), Apeliotes (south-east), Lips (south-west), and Skiron (northwest).
From other mythologies, we have Summerian Enlil, Ninlil, or Pazzuzu Egyptian Amun and Shu or Fen Lian from Chinese mythology.
Today we will try to talk to the Anemoi by visiting them in their Air Temple.
So now let's take a moment to talk with them.
I begin to wind Dow, to let go of all tensions in my body. To let my muscles relax, unwind, and let go.
The tensions are beginning to drain from my body. Soon a gradual heaviness will start to weigh down my thin, my arms my hands, my feet, my legs, my body. \My muscles unwind and relax. All my muscles are relaxing, unwinding, and letting go.
Very soon I shall feel the unwinding, the letting go. Unwinding and letting go. Unwinding and letting go. Unwinding and letting go.
Deeper and deeper... Letting go. .. Unwinding and letting go. The tensions drain from my muscles and they will soon become loose, letting go, unwinding, relaxing.
Noises around me will drift into the background. I shall feel the relaxing, the letting go, the unwinding.
Breathing easily and deeply. Easily and deeply.
Unwinding and letting go. ..drifting into the peace and quiet and serenity of complete relaxation. And as my body unwinds and relaxes, so I enter the peace and quiet where only these words have meaning and nothing else disturbs me. Letting go... Unwinding...Letting go... Unwinding...relax...relax... Relax...Letting go... Unwinding.....let go... Let go..let go... Relax..relax..relax..let go..let go..
Once you are in the dark void of nothingness... You see yourself standing in front of a gate. A weird symbol appears on it. Touch it... You noticed that the symbol is flashing with the bright golden light and you find yourself standing in front of the temple. Take a deep breath and walk inside. Notice how the temple is looking. There are an altar and many symbols on the walls. But in the middle of the temple, there is a bright light source. You recognize the temple - you were there before. As previously - walk over it and as you do feel all of the negativity being taken away of you.
Then sit in a circle. There are already others awaiting you. As you sit down you see a sigil appearing in front of you. As you touch it you are taken to the other realm.
You see that you are standing in an octagonal temple 10m across. The walls are made of white marble and extend upwards of 8m. Below you the floor is a single piece of white marble. Overhead you can see the sky as there is no roof in the temple. In the north on the wall is a large frieze of a winged purple man with shaggy hair and a beard, bearing a conch shell in his hands and wearing a billowing cloak. You realize this is a depiction of Boreas, god of the north wind. On the eastern wall is a frieze showing a winged bearded man holding a heavy cloak, that you realize is Eurus. On the southern wall is a frieze depicting a winged man pouring water from a vase, which is Notus. On the western wall is a frieze showing a beardless winged youth scattering flowers from his mantle, and you realize this is Zephyrus. Looking at the center of the room you see there is a raised circular dais, which rises about 30cm up from the floor, and is 3m in diameter, there are four white marble pillars set at the edges of the dais so that they are in the north-east, south-east, south-west and north-west, and all equidistant from the center. The pillars stand 3m high and are connected by ropes at the top, joining the north-east to south-west and south-east to north-west, and forming an X in the air above the center of the temple. From the center of the X hangs a set of large brass wind chimes, which jingle as a wind blows through the temple. In the center of the dais stands a white marble double-cube altar.
Stand on the North and chant
Boreas, Whose wintery blasts, terrific, tear the bosom of the deep surrounding air; cold icy power, approach, and favoring blow, and Thrace a while desert exposed to snow: the misty station of the air dissolve, with pregnant clouds, whose frames in showers resolve: serenely temper all within the sky, and wipe from moisture, Æther’s beauteous eye.
Now a being appears to you. Talk to him now and learn what he needs to tell you.
Once you will be done stand on the west and chant
Sea-born, aerial, blowing from the West, sweet Aurai, Who gives to wearied labor rest: vernal and grassy, and of gentle found, to ships delightful, through the sea profound; for these, impelled by You with gentle force, pursue with prosperous Fate their destined course. With blameless gales regard my suppliant prayer, Zephyrs unseen, light-winged, and formed from the air.
Now another air God appears before you so talk with him as well.
And again once you are done walk to the south and chant
Wide coursing gales, Whose lightly leaping feet with rapid wings the air’s wet bosom beat, approach benevolent, swift-whirling powers, with humid clouds the principles of flowers: for flowery clouds are portioned to Your care, to send on earth from all surrounding air. Bear, blessed powers, these holy rites attend, and fruitful rains on earth all-parent send.
Talk with him as well. And again as you finish walk to the East and chant
Euros, soft breathed Wind, sending cool and faithful breeze over the fields at harvest’s end; bring celebration: garlands of golden shafts of grain and fiery-tempered leaves, so we may rejoice and rest before bitter Winter’s reach. Turn Your gaze to this honored rite, and may You come at all times with victory and might.
Once you are done there is one more being to meet today - the elemental king of the Air - Paralda.
And now chant : Paralda Veniet Rex Magnus Super Caeli
And in the middle of the room will be standing the along of the Air. Allow him to teach you and allow you to connect yourself with his energy. Play with it as much as you can.
Once you will be finished he will manifest the doors for you to get back in your human body and finish your Meditation.
