All about candles.. the easiest spells

Updated: Aug 24, 2021

Candles are items we use often. For spells, for rituals, for spirits. They are nice as a home decor and use tool, which you always have all around you. That's why today we will talk about them. **About the candles** Candles are connected to the element of fire, yet every candle color has other elemental correspondences, too. We will talk about them in a moment, but first I want to focus on some other basics: How do we make a candle? You need wax (and there are several types of wax you might use) a cord and a glass. And probably something to heat the wax, because once it's melted you put the cord inside the glass and put the wax there too. Before you will pour the wax, you can mix it with oil colors or scents or add decorations to it! They're the simplest way to explain it, there are many ways to make a candle, probably you can find better tutorials than that. I just want you to be aware of how easy it is, and you don't need to buy it, as making it might be cheaper too! But now let's talk a little more about the most typical wax types. **Most popular wax types** Paraffin -it's made from petroleum oil, has a very strong scent, and burns very fast. It's very easy to color. Shouldn't be used for candles you want to have at home, because its fumes are unhealthy. Paraffin is also very cheap. Soy wax - this one is made from vegetables named Soya. The vegetable itself might contain pesticides used to grow it. It doesn't really affect your health, instead, it having a very weak smell on its own. Beeswax - it's the type of wax which we have used since always. After we collected the honey from bees, the rest of it can be used as wax. It has its own specific color and is hard to change. It's also burning very slowly and is almost smokeless. But it also has a very weak smell. Palm wax - the danger here is the destruction of palm trees to create the wax. It's having a strong smell and doesn't affect our health, it's burning slowly and holds colors. Coconut wax - that's the best type of wax, but I'm not that familiar with it yet. It's created from the fruit of coconut trees, doesn't affect our health, and has a very strong smell. But now let's talk about something else - forms of the candles because yes they also hold much or the correspondences for themselves! **Shapes of candles and their uses**

You can see the most popular ones are on the list below. I will try to update our link with correspondences as much as I can.

But now let's talk about the colors of the candles as they also have much importance. White All-purpose candle, which could be used instead of any color, including black. It's also representing the energy of the light and moon, so if you struggle cleansing something with light or the moon's energy, you might do it with the power of the white candle. There are very popular and easy to accept in different shapes. It helps much with positive working and curses removal. Black Mainly used for black magic, harmful magic, or as an offering to the dark/demonic deities. Often used for harming others, but also can be helpful as a representation of negativity. Often used together with a red and white candle to summon djins and shows their free will to harm or help. Red Candle connected to the will, power, element of the fire. Sexual energy and emotions, Kundalini, and strong will, desires, and determination are visible in this candle color. Used for increasing sexual energy or attract sexual partner (but their relationship often is loveless) Pink This is a candle of emotions, love, compassion, self-love, and understanding. The pink color is more soft and sensual in its power. You might use it to increase your self-image, find self-love or a loving partner, help with beauty and happiness. Yellow The color is connected to the sun, wealth, creative side of the fire. In ancient times people connected wealth with the crops, and that's why this color became connected to the wealth itself. It is the color of kings, positivity, happiness, and strength. Used in wealth spells. Green In ancient times, green was associated with healing, nowadays we use it also for wealth and money spells, due colors of the first banknotes. Green is the energy of the earth, creative energy, healing energy. Plants are connected to it as well as everything coming from them - that's why we connect it with the healing energies of plants and heart chakra. Orange Another color is related to the sun, but this one is w the color of overwhelming happiness and prosperity. Your life is harmonized, and in a joyful mood, you spent your time with your friends and family. Any work related to that will be connected with the orange color. Purple Color of magic, dreams, magic, and astral. Connected to the third eye together with blue color helps you open your psychic senses. Used on divination rituals, blessings, and opening of your chakras together with chakra candles. Connected to the soul and aether. Blue Color or wisdom, protection, and meditation, but also a color of Kings and domination. Used very often to achieve something, bring some sort of power over others, or in bindings spells together with a black candle. As the color is connected to the water element, it's going to be used to any workings related to the water and ice (lighter blue colors) Silver Connected to the moon, lunar energies, sleeping, especially prophetic dreams. Highly associated with feminine energy. Golden The energy of gold, sun, and power. Highly used in wealth and prosperity magic. Brown This one is used in different forms of protection and removing negativity. It's based on the earth element itself and its protective abilities. Grey It's a mixture of white and black. It helps you balance emotions, work with negativity and cleanse as well as cast curses. And now the most important thing I believe... how we use the candles? Well, you can use them as an addiction to the ritual or spell. Some spells require candles in a specific color or shape. You might also create your own ritual with just a candle...but before I will explain that I will simply tell what you need to do step by step. 1. Choose your intention 2. Buy or make a candle. If you are making it on your own, check the correspondences for colors, shapes, and what you can add to it. 3. Cleaner your candle. You can use running water, you can put it on salt, use white light or planetary/elemental, asking the deity for it, etc. 4. If you are using oil, spread it all around the candle, but don't put it on the wick! 5. Paint a sigil if you want to work with it. 6. Hold the candle in your hands and tell the intention to program it. 7. Now you can light it! Always Meditate or move into working on your ritual 8. Look at the candle behavior in order to see the answers for your spell/ritual So now the only thing I need to mention is how to interpret candles behavior. **How to read my candle** Tall, straight, clean flame, fast-burning A positive sign, your candle is attracting the energy of your spell and you should find positive results soon A small and steady flame Results will be positive, but you might need to wait for them. Be patient! Small flame Unfortunately, it's not a good sign. You might not get the results you wish for. Dancing flame, flickering once, moving from side to side. Very chaotic energy is presented. You will succeed but there are complications like enemies or obstacles. Flickering flame Spirits are listening to your wish and trying to assist you. The candle can also generate smoke which could show you the meaning Blue Spirits are presented or a portal of energy is opened. Black A negative presence is affecting your spell. White Positive energy is around the spell I believe it's everything that I had to say about our beloved candles. Please remember that it doesn't matter if they are artificial or real ones, they will still work! Of course, you might have a problem scrying on artificial flame.. but who knows maybe you will learn something new with them too.
