Scrying - a watery way to communicate with the spirit world.

Scrying is one of the oldest methods of divination, and communication with spirits is an easy one to master and open your third eye. You will learn more about it below:

What is Scrying?

Scrying is a method of divination, where you are using your gaze and vision to do so. There are several items, which might be used for that. I will describe every popular one below, and how to make it.

Why should you scry?

This will help you with a few things.

It's very easy to get messages from spirits, visions or memories. Water elements can help you watch and spy on another person or being. Lastly, it's an easy way to use your third eye and expand it. The more you will use it, the better and the stronger your vision will become.

What can you use for scrying?

As I said, there are several items. Most popular are gemstones, especially the white quart or glass balls. I know it's some sort of stereotype about witches to be able to use the crystal ball, but it can be very useful. In fact, it doesn't have to be glass or white quartz. I used onyx balls, they work as nicely, but this could be any gemstone.

You can also use the water. Any water surface will work, as long as you can watch it. I would suggest mastering it with a bowl of water. Remember to have a bowl that isn't transparent. Hold it, so you can't see your own reflection.

You might try to work with a candle or fire. It's something I would suggest if you worked with fire element at all. Don't do that if you aren't familiar with fire energy as it takes much of it.

You might be trying to scry in the clouds and stars or planets too, however, this will require much practice. I didn't master that, however, scrying in the full moon is a very good idea to connect with its energy and spirits.

You could use anything, which you feel would be good for you. As I mentioned, I shared more about the most popular ones, but you can think of any other method.

How to scry?

We already learnt what is Scrying and what can we use, and reached the last and most important thing - how to scry. Before scrying, you should prepare your item, cleanse it and empower it with the energy of the moon. Moon is a planet connected with the divination itself, so empowering the divination tools with its energy, and hiding from sunlight.

I would suggest doing that divination in the nighttime when the energy is more natural and resonating with spiritual work. Once you are ready place the item of your choice before you. Close your eyes and focus on your third eye. Feel it and open it. Focus on your breathing and get into a meditative state. Once you will be ready open your eyes and look into your chosen object. Relax your gaze..keep your mind with curiosity and interests, don't push the gaze. You should be relaxed and look inside of it. Let the images come. When you will start you might see only colours or landscapes, but it's natural. Let it happen - you will learn and experience more, the more you are working with it.

Try to hold the vision as long as you can. You can have paper and pen, and note what you think, and once you will see something, note it down, but don't take your eyes out. You can do that for as long as you feel the need.
