Why trends like "Catholic" or "Christian" Witchcraft" doesn't make sense for me?

I know that the topic could be considered very controversial, but nowadays witchcraft seems to be some sort of new trend for the masses and new names and types had been created daily. As much as I have nothing against any kind of witch (the more witches in the world the merrier), but some of that kinds are..not gonna work, let's say.
Catholics aren't magic friendly, so why do we have trends like that?
I suppose that is happening because many eclectic witches are trying to label themselves with something untypical, and new. To bring new labels and new trends.
But what are eclectic witches?
maybe we should define first what is Witchcraft, to know how to move forward with this note.
Quoting one of the most popular encyclopedias - Brittanica "*witchcraft is traditional, the exercise or invocation of alleged supernatural powers to control people or events, practices typically involving sorcery or magic*".
So witchcraft includes magic or sorcery and allows us to control others and events in our life. That is a rather simple explanation. Usually, witches cast spells and follow the path of the Goddess, which wasn't mentioned here. Witchcraft is neither good nor bad, it depends on how we use our skills and power, that's why we have the basic type of witches - black, grey and white.
Black witches use a harmful spell, control ones and cast curses, while white witches work more on positive spells, protect and heal. Grey witch as the name might suggest is in between, using both of that powers depending on her need. I don't consider any of that witches being evil. That's something I have to clarify before moving forward. My personal opinion about witches isn't negative, I am a grey witch myself.
There are of course other types of witches too - witches working with a specific element or all of them, kitchen witches, traditional ones, solitary witches or Eclectic witches and on those last, we want to focus.
What is Eclectic Witchcraft?
The eclectic witch doesn't consider herself being connected with one specific tradition or pantheon. She is learning and creating their own unique style, mixing different practices and bringing them into her own path. This is one of the most complicated types, as some traditions are deeply heritage related, yet whatever seems to be fit for the witch she can use.
Now I want to describe catholic witchcraft, which apparently doesn't seem to have a specific definition, so I will try to define it on my own - if you have any other definition I would love to hear it in the comments below. So, catholic witch seems to be a few things..some works with angelic powers, others believe in Yehovah being the creator of the universe, others go to church and make prayers while still following sabbaths and esbats and some use simply prayers instead of spells. Others still follow commanders written in Bible. That doesn't seem too bad right? And Of course, it isn't bad... in the end, it could be considered eclectic witchcraft right? After all, they are the ones mixing different practices together. That might also include different spirits, not only Goddesses.
So what about Catholics and Christians? And why it doesn't make sense?
To make it short I will quote it:
Catholics are, first and foremost, Christians who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Catholicism shares some beliefs with other Christian practices, and believe in the existence of the Holy Trinity — one God in three persons. Catholics embrace the belief that God, the one Supreme Being, is made up of three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
As much as you can see - there is no female Goddess, just masculine and only one. Considering that witchcraft is based on paganic traditions, which goes together with the balance of feminine and masculine energies. This doesn't come along with catholic beliefs. Also, the Bible, which is a sacred book for the Catholics which have a particular opinion about magic itself. Below you will find quotes from it:
*Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.*
Revelation 21:8
*But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.*
1 John 4:1
*And he burned his son as an offering and used fortune-telling and omens and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.*
Exodus 22:18
*You shall not permit a sorceress to live.*
Isaiah 8:19
*And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?*
Acts 19:19
*And a number of those who had practised magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.*
Deuteronomy 18:10-12
*There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.*
Colossians 2:8
*Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against your magic bands with which you hunt the souls like birds, and I will tear them from your arms, and I will let the souls whom you hunt go free, the souls like birds.*
Deuteronomy 18:9-14
*When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God,*
Deuteronomy 18:10
*You shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it. You shall not interpret omens or tell fortunes.*
Leviticus 20:27
*A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.*
Galatians 5:19-21
*Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.*
Leviticus 20:6
*Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.*
Revelation 18:23
So we reached the final notes...
I suppose that the above quotes explain pretty nicely, why it doesn't make sense. The Catholics and Christians hate witches, using magic is one of the biggest sins for them, why would we mix that with witchcraft then?
Why simply don't call yourself an eclectic witch? Witchcraft doesn't claim you can't work with angels or angelic forces - quite opposite instead...or maybe we simply should use another name? Instead something so opposite. Personally, I would consider that white witchcraft, as white witches work with positive light energy and so does the angels... But I will let you decide for yourself if that makes sense or not. For me, it doesn't.
The definitions were taken from dummies.com and britannica.com, the quotes come from Bible.
