We mentioned the oils during our candle lesson, but I wanted to get into more details for them, as they have many uses. **What are oils** Everyone knows the oils we used in the kitchen for frying or for our salads. We also have aromatherapy oils and witch oils.. and in your craft, you can use all of them! **Food oils** They might be used in kitchen magic. In short: kitchen magic is when you connect spells with the food or use the food to help others.. or to be mean towards them. Depends on the person and spell. Let's give you an example. If you don't like your neighbor, but they are coming for dinner, you can simply use the negativity and negative working spells and ingredients ( I don't mean poison here! We don't kill people!) To bring some harm towards them. Once you will be pushing the intention to the food you make for others..it will give your results. But at the same time if you want your family to be happy you will bake cookies for them including ingredients connected to happiness like a rose of vanilla. But the food oils are also connected to creating your magical oils, but this we will explain in a moment. **Essential oils/aromatherapy oils** You are gonna ask what's the difference.. well essential oils are stronger in smell and last longer. But because they are done on a very strong dose might create allergies are being too strong. They are done mostly with alcohol and aren't good for the skin. Aromatherapy oils are not as strong. As the name suggests they are used in aromatherapy. They can be used for healing, they are skin-friendly and you can also use them in baths or apply them on your candles skin, etc. **Magic oils** They are created for specific purposes being a combination of two previous types. Often they contain herbs, flowers, and other items related to the topic. There are two ways to make the oil **Hot way** You collect all-natural items and food oil. Boil the oil. Collect items like herbs, flowers, etc. Crush them into powder and add into boiling oil. Hold boiling for 9 minutes. Cooldown and pour into a jar. You can add a few flowers or stones into the jar too. You can seal it with a candle. **Cold way** Add all your ingredients in natural form into the bottle. Once you are done add their cold oil. Once you will have it full seal it with the candle. Leave it be for a month. The first way is more popular and hides every item you were using to make the oil, so no one will really have the same recipes as you did. They are more personalized, while the other ones are faster. But the cold oils have one more ability - the energy of the oil is stronger. Why? Because you don't remove the items, and they empower your oil all the time. In fact, you might add new oil thereafter the first one is finishing and energy will empower it again. So it's more multi-use oil. Of course, the energy of the herbal items is going to weaker with time, so I suggest adding new items inside while you are doing the second pouring of the oil. **What we can add into oils?** Well in fact anything. Gemstones, powders, herbs, flowers, leaves, you can mix essential oils of different types. You can add anything representing for you your purpose. For example, if you do make wealth oil you might add cinnamon, bay leaves, nutmeg, or a little coin. If you want a love oil you will add a whole vanilla stick, head of a rose flower, etc. If you want protection oil you might add hematite and let it dissolve into water. Your creativity here is the key. You can use tea blends if you want it. Fresh flowers have more power than dried ones, gemstones might be hard to crush. You can make oils for any purpose. I mentioned sealing the oils.. so let me explain why we do it. Once you prepared your oil, you hold it in your hands and tell it's purpose. You might Meditate and push the energy there too, you might empower it with the moon or sun. (Don't forget it on the window if you use a glass bottle..) and once you have it you burn the candle in color related to the oil purpose and pour it on the place where is the opening of your bottle. Why? Because it will keep energy inside until you will need the be oil and it will let it grow there. And the other reason is more human alike - the oil shouldn't be dropping from their bottle of it's sealed with wax. So if you send it to your friend, be sure you made a proper sealing, as it will prevent the oil to drop down during the transport. But how do we use the oils? **How to use it**
💟You can use it on candles - for example spreading it all over the candle to empower it.
💟You can use it during the creation of the candle, it will give scent to it.
💟You can use them for Meditation.. spread some of them in water and inhale, place them on your skin or chakras.
💟You can add them to water and use them as a bath.
💟You can add them into food (be sure you use non-poisonous items)
💟You can also use them in aromatherapy bracelets or necklaces.
💟You can use them in mojo bags, surrounding the stones with them and empower items you wear.
💟You can use them in jar spells.
💟For protection rituals
💟Like offerings
💟At dolls to bring blessings or curses towards the person.
💟To cleanse and empower items.
All of the mentioned methods will be working but as I mentioned before - creativity is the key for anything. Everyone has their own versions of the oils, or you can find some online recipes too. The oils and connected deeply with the earth and positive magic, but they can be used also in black magic. But that would be all for today.
